HOW DO YOU KEEP NICE LOOKING FLOORS?

Amanda Booth

Updated: Oct 2, 2024

Frist to keep nice looking floors, you want to choose the right type when you are building or remodeling. Please don't just buy because it looks nice on the showroom floor or in the trending magazine. Find out what it takes to keep it clean and looking good. Being organized and making routines run smoothly always works best when you look at all the angels from the beginning. Like there are certain color floors out there that show every speck of dust and every streak in certain light so you will always feel you need to be cleaning it but who has time for that!

PROXIMITY TO USE

Another thing that can eat up time is where you keep your cleaning products. Proximity to use is very important to efficiency. Say you keep your steam mop over in the coat closet by the door to the garage and a jug of distilled water in the bathroom at the other side of the house, but you want to start moping the floor in the kitchen. How much time and energy are you eating up with walking back and forth?

Yes, they tell us to get our steps in. But it will be more efficient and motivating to clean the floors if you don't have to spend a lot of time and effort just getting to doing the work. So, if you can keep cleaning items together and close to where you want to use them the most (say you would like to mop the kitchen every day but not the whole house. Then keep moping products close to the kitchen) this will simplify the work and organize your time a little better.

SAME THREW OUT

Another way to simplify cleaning your floors is to have the same kind of flooring threw out the house. When you have to change what product you are using to clean with, this takes up time and energy.

SO HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE TO CLEAN THE FLOORS?

  • If you're in the building or remodeling stage, find out what it is going to take to clean that flooring. And try to have as much of the same kind of flooring threw out the house.

  • Keep cleaning products and tools together and close to where you use them most.

Thees tips should help cut down on time used and make it easier for the job to get done regularly.
